Residence Inn is by far my favorite extended stay hotel. I've been staying at Residence Inns for more than 2 decades and it has always surpassed my expectations. Residence Inn, Tempe Downtown/University has deinitely upheld the good name and longstanding record of quality, comfort and luxury that I've become accustomed to. Residence Inn has been my home away from home whether in the USA or traveling internationally. The staff always provides excellent service, the suites are always clean, wonderfuly decorated and splendid and I truly enjoy the breakfast in the morning before I start my day.
Great location within walking distance to the Sun Devil's stadium as well as restaurants/bars! Great, comfortable and quiet rooms. Parking garage access for hotel guests which was easy to get in and out of. Breakfast was delicious! We will definitely book here again when we are in town.
The staff were great and the breakfast was also very good for a hotel breakfast. Room had plenty of space although some things did seem aged. Overall excellent stay
The hotel, location and proximity to the city center were all great! It is convenient to ASU and access to the downtown area. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond with every request. A special thanks to Candice and Jamaciana for consistently meeting all of our needs. I would definitely return to the location if I return to the area!
Absolutely fantastic in every aspect! I noticed that the washing machines and dryers were cleaned daily! That's rare, but I loved it, and the staff were very professional! Thank you to the hotel manager! If I return to Tempe, I will definitely stay here again!
The best by far of my stay in December 2025 for my daughter's graduation. The location is great close to sun devils stadium . The staff was kind , welcoming and just how a hotel hospitality should be . Breakfast was just too good .The coffee , cold water the evening hot chocolate station was perfect for the December weather . The rooms are good with a kitchen and a huge refrigerator. The hotel has a rooftop pool , jacuzzi , fire pit , a small gym there and an amazing views . The location was closed to ASU , city center and downtown area all walkable . They also have car parking available at a price . Overall just perfect .
This is a great hotel! Great rooftop! Also the breakfast is good enough...and it is right at ASU, so it is very walkable. The rooms also have kitchens. The gym is super small though so if you want to use that it is very basic.
As a college athlete we have stayed in so many hotels and this one is the best by far. We were originally staying in the La Quinta down the road and had to leave because it was horrendous. The second we walked in the Residence Inn, the workers were unbelievably kind and welcoming. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms had a kitchen area with a dishwasher and full sized refrigerator. They also had a rooftop pool and fire pit and amazing views. Breakfast was SO good. My team had a great time here and we are grateful for the staff and all their help!
